BRAND EXPERIENCE /
CREATIVE DIRECTION /
An IDS Vancouver offsite event created with Tokyo Smoke, a Canadian cannabis retailer that approaches cannabis through an elevated design lens. Collaborating with Chef Juno Kim, Carl Ostberg and Jasmine Chan from Hana By Celsi, I provided creative direction and spatial design for an exclusive industry dinner to celebrate design and cannabis.
Have a Nice Trip.
Railtown, Vancouver: the evening begins with an elevator ride to the penthouse of a historic commercial building.
The doors open. You emerge in a reflective tunnel with “HAVE A NICE TRIP” stencilled on the wall.
You walk through a backlit Molo paper screen, pink neon lighting, and a row of small “cannabis” plants. You emerge into the main dining space.
Dinner in a Grow Room.
CONCEPT: To reimagine the cannabis plant from a “higher” perspective (!!)
Using materials commonly found in grow facilities, we created a reflective room with rows of custom-designed pink led lights interacting with a suspended floral installation.
Terpene Inspired Experience
From pinene to limonene to myrcene – each course, cocktail, and scent were carefully designed by chef Juno Kim to highlight a unique cannabis terpene. We considered the dinnerware as a part of the overall experience.
